TANCET Syllabus 2017: The Anna University in Chennai is going to conduct Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for the year 2017. Graduates who are seeking for easier admission for Master of Business Administration/ Computer Application/ Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Planning programmes are asked to attend this test, by submitting applications on or before 28th February 2017. Even students appearing in final semester examination of minimum qualifying degree like Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture, etc. are given permission to compete. The entrance test for this full time/ lateral entry courses are going to be conducted in 25th & 26th of March 2017. TANCET Syllabus 2017

TANCET is the entrance examination conducted by orders received from state government, for doing post graduate admissions in the Government/ Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments of Anna University, Self-Financing Engineering Colleges.

Every year this TANCET exam used to be conducted and thousands of graduates used to attend this examination at different centres like Erode, Vellore, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, Villupuram, etc. This year also the exam has been scheduled in March month at different sessions and dates, based on courses for 2017-18 admission. The basic eligibility and admission process are stated down.

TANCET Exam Pattern 2017

By giving four alternatives, contestants will be asked to shade the best response for each question in answer books issued by invigilator. This TANCET exam 2017 is planned for 100 marks and duration is 2 hours. Penalties are applicable for wrong answer. Incase if any questions left unmarked, marks will not be reduced.

  • TANCET Exam will be conducted in OMR answer papers.
  • Total number of 100 questions would be asked in examination.
  • Authorities will give 1 mark for correct answer.
  • About 1/3 mark will be reduced for each incorrect answer.
