Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an examination which is conducted by Anna University Management for selecting aspirants for PG (MBA/ MCA/ ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan) counseling. Examination Procedures: Aspirants who are perusing their final year Graduate course in any reputed university or institute can apply for this exam through online. In some institutes, the management itself will apply for the TANCET exam on behalf of students. Aspirants who applied for this exam will receive hall ticket, two weeks before the exam.
Aspirants have to appear for this examination on the scheduled date and time. Candidates have to finish this examination within two hours time. Based upon the marks obtained the individuals a merit list would be prepared for counseling.
- TANCET Exam
Exam Pattern and Phases: The question paper of TANCET Exam will comprise of questions from Quantitative ability, reasoning, Computer Awareness, Engineering maths, General English and questions from their concern discipline. This examination will be conducted through offline mode i.e. pen and paper mode.
The total marks allotted for this examination will be 100. There is only single part for MBA and MCA courses. For the other courses, there are three different parts were the first two parts are compulsory and the 3rd part will comprise of 60 questions from their related stream.

- TANCET Exam will comprise of objective type questions with four options.
- Answers have to be marked on OMR sheet
- There will be total of 100 questions which carries one mark.
- In case of ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan, there will be 115 questions.
- For every wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be detected.
- Two hours time will be given for finishing the exam.
