RRB Syllabus 2017: Frequently Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are releasing recruitment circulars to hire thousands of human resources for the Indian Railway works in about 21 regions. Some of the most demanded recruitment amongst them are SSE, ALP and NTPC. RRB Syllabus 2017

RRB SSE/ JEThe SSE examination will be executed by board to hire employees for the Jig & Tools, Bridge, Workshops, etc. cadres of Railways. Young Engineering/ Technology graduates might have responded for this recruitment by submitting job applications. To get enrolled under this RRB SSE recruitment 2017, candidates should qualify the competitive examination with leading cut-off marks. Questions for this exam will be in Degree standard.

  • Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech/ Diploma/ Equivalent
  • Age Limit: 18 to 32 years/ 20 to 34 years (vary based on posts)
  • Selection Process: Written Examination

RRB NTPCNon-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) exam has been announced to satisfy the non-gazetted Group C & D employee needs in Railways. The questions for this exam shall be asked on standard equivalent to minimum educational qualification prescribed for the jobs under this recruitment. The selection process doesn’t ends here. Further, aspirants who are securing higher marks in test shall be invited for aptitude/ skill tests based on designations which he/ she had applied.

  • Education: Degree
  • Age Limit: 18 to 32 years
  • Selection Methods: NTPC Exam and Aptitude/ Typing Tests (vary based on posts)

RRB ALPCandidates who are technically qualified in Fitter, Painter, Automobile, etc. type of trades are asked to apply for this recruitment. Now exam is going to be conducted for hiring talented aspirants on these trades, for the various technical posts that are vacant in Railway. So questions would come from relevant trades also. Sometimes, followed by this test an Aptitude test (if necessary) shall also be organized. Only shortlisted candidates from written exam will be considered for Aptitude test.

  • Qualification: NAC/ ITI/ Diploma/ Degree
  • Age bar: 18 to 30 years
  • Recruitment Process: Written Examination and Aptitude Test (as applicable to posts)

By seeing the performance of contestants in above said tests, a provisional select list will be prepared by board. Then Railway Administration will call only those aspirants for original credential verification and sound body/ health checkup.

To participate in all those selection rounds, aspirants should first overcome the written or computer based initial examination. For that, we have generally provided the RRB Exam Pattern and Syllabus contents on below paragraphs.

Subjects of RRB Syllabus 2017: Depending upon recruitment which candidates are applying the mode of examination will also change i.e. ALP exam is offline based and SSE/ NTPC exam will be online based. NTPC is a two-tier exam and ALP/ SSE is a single tier exam. No descriptive questions shall come for these tests. Only from the following subjects questions will be drafted for RRB exams 2017.

RRB Exam Pattern 2017

RRB SSE Exam Pattern: The test will be conducted on online mode, by asking about 60 multiple choice questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning sections and 90 from Technical Ability & General Science.

  • Computer based and objective
  • Number of questions that will come is 120.
  • Exam will be conducted for 150 marks.
  • Maximum time given for exam is 2 hours.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: The first stage examination of NTPC shall be conducted with questions drafted from topics like General Knowledge, Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and General Science. Incase of second tier examination, RRB exam questions will be asked from General Awareness, General Science, Arithmetic and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

  • Both stage 1&2 are Computer based exams.
  • Tier-1 exam will be executed for a total of 100 marks.
  • Total number of questions will be 120 for tier-2 exam.
  • Duration for exam is 90 minutes (each).

RRB ALP Exam Pattern: The RRB ALP exam has been planned to be conducted in offline mode i.e. OMR answer sheets will be given. Candidates can expect about 100 to 120 questions for this test, from subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science and Technical Ability.

  • OMR based exam, but objective type.
  • About 100 to 120 questions shall come.
  • Exam duration is 1 ½ hours.

In all these exams, if aspirants had marked wrong answer then board will reduce 1/3rd marks (for each wrong answer).

Technical Ability questions of RRB SSE and ALP exams shall be asked on topics like Electrical Mechanical, Electronics, Automobile, etc. Incase of Junior Engineer (IT) and Chemical Metallurgical Assistant posts of SSE recruitment, the technical ability questions would be asked from Computer fundamentals, Operating Systems, Environment & Pollution Control, etc.

RRB Exam 2017

RRB SSE Exam 2017: RRB SSE recruitment is to hire persons for Junior Engineer, Senior Section Engineer, Chief Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant positions.

RRB ALP Exam 2017: Board has disseminated RRB ALP recruitment notice, only to findout the right persons for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician jobs.

RRB NTPC Exam 2017: Finally NTPC recruitment has been announced by RRB to satisfy the labour requirements for Commercial/ Traffic Apprentice, Clerk, Typist, Goods Guard, Assistant Station Master, Traffic Assistant and Senior Time Keeper posts.

Vacancies are more than 20000 in number for ALP posts, 18000 in number for NTPC posts and 10000 in number for SSE jobs.
