Northern Railway Recruitment 2017: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Northern Railway (NR) has decided to conduct a General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) very soon to appoint most suitable incumbents to the Goods Guard and ASM positions. Numerous openings are existing of about 270, which is purely provisional. The persons who are found eligible for these designations are regular employees of NR, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala, Modern Coach Factory Raibareilly and Diesel Component Workshop Patiala. Northern Railway Recruitment 2017
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) based in New Delhi is under the control of Ministry of Railways, Indian Government. Now a GDCE examination is planned to be conducted by RRC to fill the vacancies in Northern Railway zone. This test will be similar to the standard of direct recruitment that will be organised by RRB. Serving employees who are receiving monthly Grade Pay not more than Rs.2800/- shall only be considered for this Northern Railway Recruitment 2017.
Candidates those who had registered their profile through online and forwarded the requisite certificate copies to concerned Office through proper mode shall only be entertained for this test. Postings will be in any Divisions/ Units of NR, based on decision of Railway administration. Sometimes training courses will also be conducted for hired citizens, initially. Those who are finishing this training successfully will only be permitted to continue in the respective positions.

Educational Qualification: Graduates are eligible to apply for this RRCNR recruitment. The additional qualification that is desirable for ASM position is Diploma in Rail Transport & Management. The minimum expected qualification is stated down.

Age Limitations: General category candidates should not have crossed 42 years of age while applying for this RRC NR recruitment 2017. The date used for calculating this upper age is 1st January 2017. However, the OBC, SC, ST category aspirants will get relaxations in this ceiling age as given below.
- Age limit for OBC category: 45 years
- Age limit for SC/ ST category: 47 years
Recruitment Process: Different phases of examination will be conducted by RRC NR for hiring suitable candidates for the Goods Guard/ ASM positions. Finally shortlisted aspirants will be invited for original certificate verification and medical checkup. Those who are scoring good marks in these recruitment processes shall get selected.

How to Submit Application for Northern Railway Recruitment 2017
Interested employees can submit their applications for any one post, if they satisfy the eligibility norms mentioned above. Initially online registration should be done before the last date. The steps to be followed for filling the application through online mode are,
- Open the RRC NR website link rrcnr.org.
- Then click on “GDCE Online/ e-Application” link.
- Hit on the “Candidate Registration” option.
- Enter the basic details as asked.
- For doing registration, click on Register and Apply
- Choose the “Application Form” tab, from the dashboard.
- Fill the requisite details and click on “Save” option
- Your registration number will be displayed.
- Now login again using the registration number and date of birth.
- Click on upload photo, signature & thumb impression link and update the scanned copies in jpg format.
- Then click on “Save Images” tab.
- Using “Application Details/ Print” link provided in website, take printout copy of completed application.
After doing this online registration, take printout copy of Part-I & II application and duly fill the declaration using blue/ black ball point pen. Enter the Thumb impression, paste photograph and sign in the spaces provided. Some of the enclosures (self attested) that should be submitted along with this application are,
- Academic Records
- Caste certificate
- Birth certificate, etc.
This hard copy should be submitted to the concerned Supervisory Incharge/ Officials of the field units within 3 days, of last date for doing online registration. This application should be verified and acknowledged by the concerned Officer and forwarded to Establishment Office.
