Lakshadweep is one among the seven union territories in India. Essential Qualification:  Candidates who have completed any degree or higher secondary level examination or Diploma from a well known university or National Fire Service College, Nagpur are desirable for these posts.

  • For Station Officer – Degree with Science Subject with Diploma
  • For Sub Officer – Degree with Diploma
  • For Fireman/ Driver – 12th pass with driving skills

Work Experience: Those who desire to apply for Station Officer Jobs should hold beforehand experience in any recognized Fire service Organization.

  • For Station Officer – 2 years

Age Limitation & Relaxation: The lower age limit for Station officer is curbed to 20 years and 18 years for rest of the posts. Anyway, the upper age limit of the candidates should not exceed the age which is given in the above section. Individuals belonging to reserved category can get relaxation in age as per government rules.

  • Relaxation for SC/ ST/ Government Employees/ EXSM – 5 years

Recruitment Process: With respect to the information given in the application form only the deserving candidates would be invited for Physical Standard Test. Here the height and chest measurement of aspirants would be checked. Qualifying persons have to appear for Physical Endurance Test (PET).

PET comprises of Racing, High/ long jumps, Shot put throw, Climbing, Pull or chin ups, etc. Candidates who are performing well will be called for medical examination. In case of Driver/ Fireman posts, a driving test shall also be conducted.

Finally, they have to appear for a written test which will be conducted for 100 marks. The marks obtained in each rounds would be computed and a final merit list will be prepared.
