KCET 2017: A new circular published by Karnataka Examination Authority is claiming an opportunity for Indian citizens to get into the Professional Courses. Nationals who had completed their School level qualification on relevant compulsory/ optional subjects can register their names under this intake circular. The classes are planned in Karnataka Educational Institutions for the academic year 2017 to 2018, so eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants are encouraged to do their registration. KCET 2017 Exam
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) was set up to expand the activities of Common Entrance Test (CET) cell in state, for giving admissions to first year courses in different fields. On year-to-year, for filling seats under government quota this CET exam will be conducted. As per latest orders received from government, this year also authority has decided to enroll eligible students for admission in the full time courses under the following Medical/ Dental and Engineering courses through CET/ NEET/ NATA-2017 examinations.
Based on the marks secured by competitors in their School/ Diploma level education and CET/ NATA/ NEET examinations, final merit list/ rank will be fixed by the recruiting authority. The reservation quota norms, number of seats will be taken into account and admissions would be done for these Professional courses.

Academic Profile: Education upto +2 level is mandatory to apply for this KCET 2017. To enter on some of the professional courses, Diploma qualification is also found eligible. The minimum essential qualification to apply for each course is tabulated down.

Individuals who had finished Higher Secondary or equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics are also found eligible for B.Pharm/ Pharm-D courses. For some of the categories like SC/ ST/ Cat-I/ 2A/ 2B/ 3A/ 3B, etc. about 5 to 10% marks relaxation may be given.
Selection Process: Those who are willing to enter on Architecture course have to appear and qualify in National Aptitude Test in Architecture i.e. NATA-2017 and for others National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-2017) conducted by CBSE is prescribed.
Depending upon subjects/ test, the date, time and sessions will differ. For aspirants of Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga, Kannada language test would also be conducted. Document Verification and Practical examination on identification of Agriculture related specimens is also planned for appliers under Agriculturist Quota.

Examination Fee: Requisite amount of fee should be paid by appliers of this exam, using downloaded triplicate Challan form. This fee can be deposited in any e-Post Office or concerned branches of banks.
Candidates residing outside India can submit their fee in demand draft form on favour of “Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority” which is payable at Bangalore. It is notable that, fee once paid is non-refundable in any cases.

How to Apply for KCET 2017
Those who are willing to study any of the above said professional courses can submit their applications on time, through online mode. Before beginning to register for this examination, keep valid email address, mobile number and scanned copies of photograph, signature & left hand thumb impression in jpg/ jpeg format with you. Then follow the below given steps,
- First open the page kea.kar.nic.in.
- Choose concerned “CET 2017 UG Apply Online” link.
- Fill the mandatory fields asked in application and upload the scanned image copies.
- Preview the entered information and press the “Submit” button.
- Then take printout copy of submitted application and Challan form copy.
