Join Indian Army through Officers Entry Scheme

Aspirants who wish to become an Officer in Indian Army can either choose Permanent Commission or Short Service Commission. The difference between the two is, when an individual Join Indian Army through Permanent Service Commission he can serve as an officer until he retires. National Defence Academy:

Aspirants who wish to join National Defence Academy (NDA) have to take the entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam twice in every year NDA-1 will be conducted in the month of April and NDA-2 takes place in September every year. Students who are studying or completed 12th class are eligible to participate in this exam. Selected candidates will be awarded with a graduate degree for the first three years of training. Apart from this they have to undergo the Pre Commission Training for 3 years and Post Commission training of 1 year. Thereafter they will be appointed in Lieutenant Rank.

For this position aspirants must pass intermediate exam with Arts, Commerce and Science as a subject. Candidates should secure an aggregate of 50% marks in 12th class and not less than 40% marks in each subject. In case the candidate having Graduate degree then they should have knowledge in English, Maths, Accounts and Book Keeping in their graduate level.

Army Medical Corps is one among the entry schemes for Soldiers. Individuals having Nursing degree or diploma with good academic marks are eligible to join as a Soldier Nursing Assistant. Especially candidates have to possess BSc Degree or 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects and must have marks not less than 50% aggregate.
