IAF Group Y Recruitment 2017
Indian Air Force (IAF) is the air arm of the Indian Armed Forces. It is the world’s fourth largest air force in terms of both personnel and aircraft. Also, it has the primary responsibility to secure Indian airspace. They had now left out job opportunities in Non-Technical Trade, for candidates who get qualified in 12th or equivalent examinations. These job opportunities might be filled soon by conducting a competitive exam. It includes various stages, surely in provisional way.

On appointment, for a minimum period selected persons will be considered as Trainee and after that they will fall under regular service with attractive salary and allowances. Educational Qualification: Applying candidates should have passed intermediate or equivalent examinations in any stream/ subjects, approved by the Central/ State education boards. Those aspirants should have secured minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate and 50% of marks in English.

Age Restriction: Applicants age limit should be in the below age group, particularly they should born between 7th July 1997 to 20th Dec 2000.
- Lower age for Security Post – 18 years
- Upper age for Security Post – 21 years
Selection Procedure: Firstly, applied candidates have to undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT). One who qualified in PFT shall be undertaken for written examination. Following that, those who come under selection list via written examination will be called for Adaptability Test-1 & 2. Finally selected aspirants are subject to medical exam, before appointment.

Pay Scale & Allowance: A minimum amount will be received by the selected candidates during their training period. On successful completion of the training period, a gross emoluments given below which includes the salary in pay scale, grade pay, Military Service Pay (MSP) and dearness allowance will be given for the appointees in regular service. Stipend during training – Rs.11400/-
- Salary after training – Rs.23535/-
- Special Force Allowance – Rs.10500/-
Also, those appointees are offered with Special Force Allowance (SF). Other allowances such as transport allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave, Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, HRA etc, are also admissible to Airmen.
