Himachal Pradesh High Court Clerk and Jr. Assistant Syllabus 2017
Himachal Pradesh High Court is going to organise exams for hiring human resources for Clerk and Junior Office Assistant posts, in the Civil & Sessions Division and Courts establishment. HP High Court Clerk & Junior Office Assistant Syllabus 2017 will comprise of questions related to general awareness, Computer Knowledge and Language skills only.
The selection for these posts was going to be conducted through tests and interview only. For the permanent posts of Clerk, 75% of the seats will be filled only in the above said selection manner. But 25% of the cadre posts will be filled on the basis of seniority from amongst Process servers/ Bailiffs working in divisions. For other Clerk (contract) and Junior Office Assistant posts, selection will be done on the basis of direct recruitment only.
Candidates who are securing 45% and above marks in Written exam shall be invited for the typing test of Clerk post and for Junior Office Assistant post, the minimum qualifying marks is 50%. In Computer, the typing test will be conducted for 30 words per minute speed. Only 10% mistakes in typing are acceptable and those candidates will be further called for the final round of selection, which is Interview. Clerk and Junior Office Assistant Exam Subjects: The Screening Test will be conducted by issuing OMR answer sheets by invigilator. The first part will be in objective type (screening exam) and the second part will be of descriptive type (written exam). The subjects from which objective type questions will be drafted are General Knowledge, basic Computer knowledge, Reasoning and the second phase will comprise of Translation/ Essay in English, Hindi. It is notable that, candidates who are securing marks (screening) above the cut-off set by recruiting authority shall only be called for written test.

HP High Court Clerk and Junior Office Assistant Exam Pattern
Depending upon positions, the marks allotted for the topics will also differ. The first part shall carry one mark for each objective type questions and the total number of questions that will be asked is 100. For wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks will be reduced. The second part will be conducted for 80 marks in descriptive manner. The time allotted for Screening/ Written exam is two hours.
- First phase of written exam (Screening) is objective in nature that will be conducted in offline mode. The second phase is descriptive.
- In Part-1, for wrong answers negative marks will be applicable.
- Exam duration is 2 hours, for each part.
- Part-1 carries about 100 marks and the Part-2 will be conducted for 80 marks.

This upcoming recruitment exam is to occupy the Clerk and Junior Office Assistant (IT) posts in establishments of HP High Court. Posting of 56 employees are going to be done in Himachal Pradesh state only. But, candidates recruited through these phases of test/ interview cannot continue in the respective posts on permanent basis.
