WB TET Syllabus 2017 (Primary TET Syllabus)

West Bengal Board of Primary Education is the state government autonomous authority for overseeing primary education in West Bengal. Also, this board came into force for the purpose of recruiting Teachers in recognized non-Government schools of West Bengal.. On previewing the vacancies exist in teaching post this board deliver the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET) notification. As per the notification, Candidates who want to work in Primary Schools can apply for paper-I of TET and to join in Secondary schools, you may apply for TET-II.

WB TET Exam pattern 2017

In paper-I, there includes five sections and the number of questions would be 30 in each sections. Only four sections will be there in paper-I, with 30 to 60 questions. But the total number of questions, maximum marks would be same for both the papers. The remaining details are given here under.

  • WB TET comprises of 150 multiple choice questions.
  • In an aggregate, WB TET will be conducted for 150 marks.
  • For every right answer, one mark will be issued.
  • This exam will be conducted in OMR pattern.
  • Candidates need to complete the exam in 90 minutes

Upcoming WB TET

To consider eligible aspirants for the position of Teacher in Government Schools, West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET) has been declared by West Bengal School Service Commission. In accordance with the rules of National Council for Teachers Education, this exam will be conducted. Educational qualification will be altered as per your choice of TET Paper (I & II).

That is, Diploma in elementary education for paper-I and B.Ed for paper-II. Candidates have to secure minimum 40% marks to qualify in this exam. Final appointment in Government schools will be based on the weightage marks in TET, academic qualification, teaching experience and personality test.
