UTET 2017: The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) has divulged the prospectus and application form for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Nowadays to work in government or reputed Schools as a Teacher, TET certificate is becoming mandatory. Likewise to work in Uttarakhand Schools also, UTET certificate is very essential. UTET 2017

Uttarakhand Board of School Education is the state government agency. It does works as per government order like prescribing courses of instructions & text books, conducting exams, etc. This UTET exam is one among that.

The UTET Exam has two papers. Paper-I is being conducted for the Primary Teacher eligibility certificate and Paper-II is being conducted for the Secondary/ Upper Primary Teacher eligibility certificate of Uttarakhand state.

  • UTET-I/ Paper-I: can take classes for 1st to 5th standard
  • UTET-II/ Paper-II: can take classes for 6th to 8th standard
  • UTET-I & UTET-II: can take classes for 1st to 8th standard

U-TET Eligibility Criteria

Education: Diploma or Degree holders in Education field can apply for UTET Exam 2017. Final year students who are appearing in final semester exams can also apply. But their UTET certificate shall be valid only on passing Diploma/ Degree exam.

  • UTET-I: D.Ed (Special Education)/ D.El.Ed/ B.El.Ed. in relevant subjects
  • UTET-II: D.EI.Ed/ B.Ed/ B.EI.Ed/ B.A/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. in relevant subjects

Percentage of Marks: The minimum percentage of marks that should be taken by aspirants in above prescribed qualification is given below.

  • 12th pass & D.El.Ed/ Degree pass & B.Ed (NCTE regulations) qualified candidates: 45% marks
  • Others: 50% marks

Age Limit: Individuals possessing certain qualification can apply for U-TET 2017. But no age limit has been prescribed in UTET 2017 notification.

How to Apply for Uttarakhand TET Exam 2017?

Examination Fee: For each UTET paper there is a separate examination fee. Also, the UTET exam fee differs based on category. This non-refundable fee can be paid by aspirants in any of the nearby Post Office.

Mode of Payment: Offline mode

UTET Application Form: Candidates can download the UTET OMR Application Form from “ubse.uk.gov.in -> Department/ UTET Exam”. Duly fill the application form without committing any mistakes and paste an unattested passport size photograph of size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.

Also sign in the appropriate places and sent the completed UTET Application Form to “Uttarakhand Board of School Education, Ramnagar, Nainital, Pin – 244 715” using Speed/ Registered Post, before 5.00 PM of last date. If necessary, attach the photocopies of qualification, caste, etc. with the application.

UTET Admit Card 2017

Atleast one or two weeks before U-TET Exam 2017, admit cards will be issued to applied candidates. Aspirants have to download it from official website of Uttarakhand Board of School Education.

UTET Exam Pattern 2017

Only multiple choice objective type questions shall be asked for UTET Exam 2017. Questions for candidates who had applied for UTET 2017 will be asked in the following format.

  • UTET Exam will be conducted in OMR sheets
  • Total number of questions that will be asked is 150.
  • Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative mark for incorrect answer.
  • Maximum time that will be given for UTET exam is 2 ½ hours.

UTET Result 2017

Cut Off: The minimum percentage of marks that should be taken by aspirants in UTET Exam is 60%. But for OBC category the minimum cut off is 50% and for SC/ ST/ PWDs it is 40%. Individuals who are securing these cut off marks shall be deemed qualified in exam. Result for UTET exam will be announced within one or two months of conduct of exam, based on these cut offs.

Document Verification: After verification of educational qualification and other requisite certificates of candidates, qualified aspirants shall be given with UTET certificates by concerned authorities.
