UPSC CMS 2017
UPSC is conducting this examination to fulfill the Group ‘A’ level Medical Officer and Junior Scale posts in Railways, Ordnance Factories Health Services and Municipal Corporation/ Council of the country. About 710 candidates are going to be recruited on response of this notice. Selected candidates will be appointed on temporary basis initially. Then such designees will be asked to complete the training, departmental exams and probation period successfully, to get confirmation in respective posts. Some of the duties of appointees are attending indoor wards, looking after public health & sanitation, attending emergency cases, etc.

Necessary Qualification: Individuals who are appearing in final exams of MBBS or candidates who had passed both written and practical exams of MBBS course are eligible to apply for these jobs. Internship completion is one of the essential criterion to join in these posts.

Age Limits: Aspirants desiring to write this CMS examination of UPSC should not have attained 32 years of age, while computing date of birth as on 1st August 2017. But, if candidates belong to following categories then they would be granted with age relaxations as per government orders.
- SC/ STs/ J&K Domicile category: 5 years
- OBC persons: 3 years
- PWD persons: 10 years
- Ex-serviceman/ ECOs/ SSCOs: 5 years
Selection Process: First this CMS examination will be conducted by UPSC in online mode as two papers. The Paper-I questions will be drafted from General Ability, General Medicine & Paediatrics and Paper-II questions will be from Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine.
Candidates who are meeting the minimum qualifying marks set by Commission will be again issued with call letters, for interview. Best performers will be opted for respective vacant positions listed above, after examining their physical fitness.

Salary and Allowances: Appointment will be done only if selected candidates had finished the internship. As per 7th pay Commission rules, Level-10 salary, non-practicing allowances and other benefits would be provided to appointees.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee should be paid by appliers of this CMS exam. For making payment through cash, candidates can download the SBI pay-in-slip from Commission’s website.

How to Apply Online for UPSC CMS 2017
Through online application submitting portal of UPSC interested candidates can do registration for this CMS examination. The guidelines are given here.
- Open the page upsconline.nic.in.
- Click “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC”.
- Against the CMS examination, hit “Click here for Part-I Registration”.
- Read the instructions and hit “Yes” atlast.
- Fill the basic information asked in form, check the entries and press “Continue”.
- You will get a Registration Number and Password.
- Using that, login for “Part-II Registration”.
- In this stage, doing payment, uploading of photo & sign, selection of exam centres will be done.
- Exempted candidates no need to fill the payment details.
- Agree the declaration and then press “Submit”.
- Finally take printout of submitted application and e-Receipt.
- Candidates willing to make payment through offline can download the pay-in-slip.
Do the cash payment in any SBI bank on next working day i.e. only after 24 hours of generation of challan. After declaration of exam results, candidates will be asked to submit the detailed application form through online first. Then they will be asked to send the printout of DAF with self attested photocopies of requisite eligibility proving documents.
