TNPSC Group 2A 2017: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has finally revealed a recruitment notification, especially for Degree holders in the concerned stream. The aim of delivering the notification is to admit the deserving candidates in various posts on direct recruitment basis. The vacancies occurred under Tamil Nadu Ministerial/ Secretariat/ Cooperative Subordinate Services are filled up by conducting written examination. Aspirants who have responded against TNPSC Group 2A 2017 will have to write an examination in the month of December. The eligible candidates are enrolled on the basis of direct recruitment and they are subject to Combined Civil Services Examination-II. TNPSC Group 2A 2017 Exam
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a department of Government of Tamil Nadu, which is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the State Public Service. It is conducting examinations every year; similarly this year also they are recruiting staffs by conducting Group 2A examination or Combined Civil Services Examination-II. This examination is especially reserved for Graduates in various fields.

With reference to the TNPSC Group 2A 2017 notification, there is a tremendous amount of 1863 vacancies are not yet to be filled. These openings are made in Commerce, Accounts, Revenue, Medical & Rural Health, Registration, Cooperative Audit Departments etc. The above said TNPSC Group 2A examination is conducted mainly for filling these vacancies. This examination will be of objective type, for an aggregate of 300 marks. Applicants should have to cross the cut-off set by the commission.

TNPSC Group 2A Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are interested to apply for the above said posts should meet the basic qualifications mentioned in the TNPSC Group 2A recruitment notification. They mean the eligibility as educational qualifications and age criteria. Academic Qualification:Besides holding the concerned degree, applicants should have qualified in Government Technical Education in Type Writing, both by higher grade in Tamil and English. The basic academic qualification, necessary for each of the designation is listed below.

Age Limitation and Relaxation: General category candidates who wish to apply should have attained the maximum age limit between 18 to 30 years. No maximum age limit is allotted for the candidates who reside under the category of SC/ ST/ MBC/ De-notified Communities/ BC/ BC (Muslims)/ DW category.

Pay Scale and Allowances: Eligible aspirants who are chosen for the above said Group-2A services will be entitled with pay band-I and additional Grade Pay as per the Government rules.

TNPSC Group 2A Selection Procedure
With an intension to get placement in Tamil Nadu Ministerial/ Secretariat/ Cooperative Subordinate Services, applicants will have to participate in an examination of TNPSC Group 2A 2017. The examination will be of objective type. Since it is a non-interview post, only the candidates have to qualify in this examination only.
Written Examination: Likewise, TNPSC VAO examination candidates will have to clear only one paper for Group 2A examination. It’s somewhat easy compare to the VAO examination, because aspirants have to prepare for the following sections only. That is, General Studies, Aptitude & Mental Ability Test and General Tamil/ General English. This examination is conducted for a composite duration of 3 hours and the maximum marks allotted are 300 marks. The lowest pass mark fixed for this examination is 90 marks.
- General Studies – 75 items
- Aptitude & Mental Ability Test – 25 items
- General Tamil/ General English – 100 items
General Studies – In this section, candidates will be aware of daily news, General Science, Geography, History & Culture, Indian Politics etc.
Aptitude and Mental Ability – This part carries questions, which are related to the areas of General Mathematics, logical questions, data collection, Interpretation of data, graphs etc.
General English/ Tamil – Maximum of the questions are asked in this section, so the candidates should concentrate more in this section. Here the questions will be in SSLC standard, mostly in Grammar, literature, poems etc.
The question paper may be in two sets, candidates have an option to choose any of the question paper. The difference in such questions is only in the language part either English or Tamil.
