The Combined Civil Service examination-II comes under Group-2A category. Recruitment Method: the selection process will comprise of written examination only. In accordance with the final merit obtained in written examination, outstanding candidates are chosen for the above said posts.

Exam Pattern: Aspirants who attend the TNPSC Group 2A written examination will have to clear single paper only. While attending the examination, you must be aware in topics such as General Studies, Aptitude & Mental Ability Test and General Tamil/ General English. The questions will be in two sets. You have the option to choose either General Tamil or General English.
- The maximum marks allotted for the examination is 300.
- The exam will be conducted for a composite duration of 3 hours.
- The minimum qualifying marks set for all the communities is 90.

How to Download TNPSC Group 2A Hall Ticket 2017
Are you the person, who had already applied for TNPSC Group 2A exam are intimated to download the Hall Ticket or Admit Card from the official website. During the time of online registration, you get the application number or Login ID. This is used to download the TNPSC Group 2A Hall Ticket 2017. The link has been enabled before two weeks of the examination (tentative). The line by line steps for downloading the admit card is given below,
- Initially enter the commission website “www.tnpsc.gov.in”.
- Find the menu named “Online Services”, present in the right side of the home page.
- Under that menu, click the “Hall Ticket Download” submenu in drop down list.
- At this time, you will be redirected to a new page containing all the notifications.
- Now click the link “Download Admit Card” activated against the VAO post.
- At this time, Login page for Hall ticket will open in new screen.
- Feed the information such as application number or Login ID and date of birth.
- Finally, hit in “Submit”
- Your Admit Card will be downloaded, retain the hard copy and check the details.
