TNPSC Group 1 2017
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a recruitment agency which hires lot of young candidates below various government services in Tamil Nadu state. Currently, there were lots of openings lying vacant below Tamil Nadu Civil services, Police Services, Tax services, General Services, Fire and Rescue services.
In order to overcome these situations, the commission planned out for TNPSC Group 1 2017. Candidates who have completed Degree in their respective field or any other discipline are requested to apply for this civil service posts. Graduates who are of the age group of 21 to 31 years are eligible to apply.
Three stages are involved to select the suitable candidate for these posts. Those who are applying for these jobs should satisfy the physical standards which are mentioned in the official notification. Physically unfit candidates are not requested to apply. The final appointment will be based on the marks obtained in Main exam and interview.

TNPSC Group 1 Eligibility Criteria 2017
Candidates who are applying for the Group-1 Exam should know the important qualifying conditions. When talking about eligibility criteria, two things come to our mind i.e. Education and Age Limitation. We are going to discuss about these two topics in the below section.
Necessary Education: Candidates who have completed Degree or Diploma or any Graduate course in their respective Domain are eligible to apply for these civil services. The qualification for these posts should have obtained in 10th +12th +UG course pattern.

Age Constraints: There are certain age limits for participating in this exam. The minimum age required to apply for these post is fixed to 21 years. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on 1st July 2017. The upper and lower age limit for each post have been given in the below table.

Age Relaxation: On the other hand, aspirants who are belonging to reserved category can get relaxation in age as per existing government rules. Candidates claiming for relaxation have to produce their community certificate at the time of document verification.

TNPSC Group 1 2017 Selection Process
Suitable aspirants will be selected by conducting selection process in three stages i.e. Prelims, Main and Oral test. Initially, the applications submitted through the online shall be scrutinized by the selection panel and only the satisfying candidates will be invited for Preliminary exam.
Those who are securing the minimum marks in this test will have to appear for the main examination. Candidates who are scoring more marks in this test are required to appear for the interview. The marks obtained by them in all the selection process will be calculated and a final merit list will be drawn.

TNPSC Group 1 Exam Pattern
The Group 1 examination will be conducted in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main Exam followed by Interview. This exam comprises of objective & Descriptive type questions and the answers have to be marked on OMR sheet only. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English language.
Preliminary Exam: It is an objective type test which will be conducted in OMR sheet. There will be a total 200 questions and each question carries 1.5 marks. Totally this exam is for 300 marks and 3 hours duration will be given for finishing it.
- General Studies – 225 marks
- Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (SSLC Standard) – 75 marks
Main Exam: Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam would be called for main examination. There are totally three descriptive papers in this exam which is of degree standards. A total of 300 marks are allotted for each paper.
- Paper-I – 300 marks
- Paper-II – 300 marks
- Paper-III – 300 marks
Interview & Record: The final selection list will be prepared by means of marks obtained in Main and interview only. The total marks given for interview is 120.
- Oral Test – 120 marks
Registration & Exam Fee: The Registration or Exam fee have to paid by using online gateways such as net banking, credit or debit card. You can also use the SBI challan for paying the fee through offline mode.

How to Apply Online for TNPSC Group 1 2017 Exam
Graduates who are fulfilling the above eligibility conditions can submit your applications for TNPSC Group 1 2017 through online. Aspirants you have not completed the One time Registration can check out the below steps for filling the form.
- Go to the official portal of TNPSC i.e. “www.tnpsc.gov.in”.
- Click on the “One Time Registration” tab on the middle of the home page.
- Again, click on the “OTR” tab on the next page.
- Choose “New User” tab if you have not registered yet.
- Fill the Personal details and communication details column and give “Submit”
- An activation link will be send to your email id.
- Enter the one time password and security code and give “Activate”
- Now the Part-I registration has been completed.
- For filling the part-II registration, enter the Login ID and
- Upload the scanned copies of photo and signature.
- Tick on the declaration box and give “Submit”
- Choose the payment option and remit the fee.
- An application form along with fee receipt will be displayed on the screen.
