SSC JE Previous Paper: An open competitive examination has been announced by Staff Selection Commission (SSC), to fill the Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted Junior Engineer posts that are vacant in Indian Government organizations. By paying fee, willing male/ female aspirants are asked to submit applications upto October 2016. The unemployed Engineers ratio is high in society andso every contestant will have a fire in mind to acquire these permanent government Engineer jobs. As the exam dates had reached closer, applicants might be preparing seriously for this test. SSC JE Previous Paper
Selection of candidates for Junior Engineer posts will be done on the basis of marks going to be taken by contestants in two tier examinations. Without preparing properly for test, no one can succeed. So, for helping appliers we have attached some previous question papers of SSC JE exam.
In the first tier, for a single question four options will be given and contestants have to choose the best answer amongst the four. The Second tier exam will be purely conventional i.e. in essay format candidates have to answer for a particular question.
By determining eligibility of candidates on the basis of qualification, age, etc. only deserving aspirants will be issued with admit cards to appear in this test.
Question Pattern of JE Exam 2017: From three different sections questions shall be asked for Paper-I exam and only from Engineering field questions shall be asked for Paper-II exam. The patterns in which questions shall come for tests are tabulated here.

Syllabus of SSC JE Exam: We have given the exam pattern of SSC’s JE post above. Questions for exam will come from those sections only. The General Intelligence & Reasoning questions will be of verbal and non-verbal types i.e. analogies, decision making, discrimination, etc. varieties of questions will come for this section. To answer for the General Awareness questions, aspirants should have proper knowledge about current events, scientific aspects, Indian Polity & its Economics, etc.
No special studies are needed to answer for these first two sections. Individuals who are aware about the environment & its application to society and having idea about the arithmetical computations & analytical functions can score good marks in this.
Engineering section questions will be asked on Diploma standard, which is the minimum educational qualification prescribed for Junior Engineer position. The recruitment is being conducted for Engineers under Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract disciplines. So questions would also be asked on these subjects only.
According to the Engineering discipline which applicants are qualified, candidates can answer the questions. Individuals of Civil Engineering category should know about building materials, surveying, estimating, designing, technologies and fundamentals of construction. In Electrical Engineering, questions shall be covered from circuit laws, measuring instruments, machines, motors, estimating & costing, etc.
Theories used in machines, properties, laws, principles, IC engine, usage of fitting & accessories, etc. related question shall be asked for Mechanical Engineering subject.

As said above, SSC is conducting this examination only to occupy the Junior Engineer posts that are found open in governmental organizations like Central Water Power Research Station, Department of Post, MES, Directorate of Quality Assurance, Farrakka Barrage, CPWD and Central Water Commission. The available number of seats are not indicated till now, but reservations are made for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-serviceman, Disabled persons, etc. Applications that are submitted upto end of October 2016 have only been considered for this recruitment based exam. Applicants other than Diploma or equivalent degree holders in engineering may be permitted to write exam, based on decision of Commission.
