SSC CPO Syllabus 2017: Inorder to enroll fitting Indians for the Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector posts, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct a CPO examination very soon. This announcement was officially released by Commission in January 2017. Exam conducting authority is a government agency that has powers to do recruitment for filling posts in government cadres. As the application submission formalities complete, Commission will immediately organise this CPO exam for Group ‘B/ C’ posts. Only degree holders who are declared as eligible (among applicants) will be allowed to take part in this written examination. SSC CPO Syllabus 2017

Commission is organizing this gender balanced examination/ recruitment to place competent human resources in Delhi Police, CAPFs and CISF. Last year also, for similar cadres recruitments were done by SSC and numerous citizens were participated in this selection. Similarly, now candidates who had awaited for this chance are asked to utilize the opportunity. The minimum eligibility criteria and selection process are described down.

  • Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
  • Selection Process: Written Examination and PET/ PST/ Medical Examination

First Tier-I exam (Paper-I) will be conducted for screening candidates to be called for PET/ PST and Medical Examinations. The SSC CPO Syllabus 2017 for written examination contain general knowledge, mental ability and English language questions. After physical tests are completed, the next stage of written examination i.e. Paper-II test will be conducted. Final selection for Sub Inspector/ Assistant Sub-Inspector jobs will be decided based on seeing the performance of candidates in written examination (Paper-I & Paper-II).

Subjects of SSC CPO Syllabus: The written examination of SSC’s Sub Inspector/ Assistant Sub Inspector exam has two papers. In the first paper four varied sections of questions would be asked and in the second paper questions will be asked from language part. The timings and dates of exam are different for both the papers. But the questions will be set in objective manner on Hindi and English (except language part). Also, this is purely an offline mode exam. The main topics under which questions will come for exam are,

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2017

On each paper about 200 questions will be included in objective form, with multiple choices. For marking responses, the invigilator in exam hall will distribute OMR sheets. For each correct answer, authorities will give 1 mark. But for each wrong answer penalty is applicable (0.25). Timings will alter but the duration is 2 hours (each). Minimum qualifying marks in exam will be fixed only by Commission.

  • SSC CPO Exam is of objective type and OMR based.
  • Exam duration is 2 hours for each paper.
  • Total marks for which Paper –I/ II will be conducted is 200 (each).
  • Penalty marks are applicable for wrong answer.
  • One mark will be given for each right answer.
  • No marks will be given for unmarked answers.

SSC CPO Exam Dates

The selection of candidates for Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces and CISF are going to be done through this examination, for Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector places. Vacancies are limited in number, but it is provisional too. Appointees are eligible for getting postings anywhere within in India. Recruited candidates will get several benefits on time-to time other than salary, as per latest orders launched by government.
