Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a recruitment agency which organises competitive exams for hiring staffs for various ministries, departments and its subsidiary offices of Indian government. Every year, this authority conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level exam. Likewise, to fill 3259 vacancies that exists below Postal/ Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operator, LDC/ Junior Secretariat posts this year also SSC is going to conduct CHSL exam on two tiers.

Tier-I is an online screening test for eliminating large number applicants from appearing in Tier-II exam. Only 1 week left for Tier-I exam. Things you should know before taking part in the SSC CHSL Exam 2017-18Aspirants who are appearing for the CHSL exam should hold e-admit card along with valid photo identity proof such as voter’s ID, Driving License, ID Cards, etc. Other important rules you should follow during the exam are given in the below section.

SSC CHSL Exam 2017-18

Eligibility Criteria: Aspirants who have completed upto Higher Secondary level and aged between 18 to 27 years are eligible to participate in this exam. Also, individuals have to be proficient in data entry and typing works. Individuals who are not complying with the minimum eligibilities that are given below will not get SSC CHSL Admit Card 2018 Tier 1 (based on the details submitted in application).

  • Special Skills – Typing speed on computer (English/ Hindi)

Recruitment MethodsThe applications submitted through online shall be validated by the screening panel and eligible candidates will be invited for Tier-I Online Test. Candidates who perform well in this test will be shortlisted for the descriptive type exam i.e. Tier-II. For participating on Tier-II exam, separate SSC CHSL Admit Card 2017-18 shall be issued to eligible contestants. Finally, a Skill Test or typing test will be conducted for check the typing speed of aspirants. A merit list will be prepared by means of marks obtained by candidates in the above tests.

Tier-Wise Exam PatternThe first tier comprises of objective type questions from General Intelligence, English, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. On Tier-II exam candidates can expect questions from Essay and Letter/ Application Writing.

  • Tier-I exam will be conducted through online mode and Tier-II exam will be conducted on pen & paper mode
  • Objective type questions will be asked on Tier-I and Descriptive type questions will be asked on Tier-II
  • Tier-I Exam will be conducted for 200 marks and Tier-II exam will be conducted for 100 marks

How to Download SSC CHSL Admit Card 2017-18?

Candidates applied for CHSL exam 2017 can download their SSC CHSL Admit Card 2018 for the upcoming Computer based written examination. Keep your Registration ID and Date of Birth with you, before sitting infront of Computer for downloading admit card. If you don’t remember your Registration ID, you can refer it from your online generated Application Form or from the email which you received during online submission of application. The step wise general instructions for downloading admit card has been listed out in the below section.

  • Open the official portal of SSC i.e. “
  • Click on the “Admit Card” tab available on top of the page
  • On next page, click the website of concerned SSC regional portal for which you had submitted application
  • Know your Candidature status and hit on the “Download admit card” link available on home page
  • Enter the Registration id/ Name and Date of Birth in appropriate boxes
  • Then click “Next/ Search Now” tab available in the page
  • Your SSC CHSL Admit Card 2017-18 for Tier 1 exam will appear on the screen
  • First save the admit card copy and then download it
