SSC CAPF 2017: Very soon the Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct one competitive examination for occupying the openings in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Announcement regarding this selection is officially released on April 2017. Citizens who are willing to enter on any of the Inspector category posts under Police department can utilise this wonderful offer. The total number of vacancies are not yet been published, but it will be announced in due course by Commission. PWDs no need to apply, as good physical and medical fitness is very important to serve under these jobs. SSC CAPF Exam 2017
Graduated persons are eligible to apply against this SSC CAPF 2017 exam. In the centres under SSC regional offices at Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, New Delhi, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh and Chandigarh, these examination arrangements are going ahead.

SSC will recommend the names of candidates for appointments to respective departments, who are leading in exam performance. Incase of tie marks, the age seniority/ alphabetical order in first name of candidate will be considered. As per reservation norms set for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-SM, etc. categories, appointments shall be done.
Designations, Roles and Salary
Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector are the vacant posts under Delhi Police, CAPF and CISF. Candidates going to be recruited for these Group-B/ C posts shall be on probation (from date of joining) for two years. During this span of time, designees have to pass the training and examinations prescribed by Controlling Authority. Only those citizens will be appointed permanently in respective positions, after probation. Apart from government allowances, Sub-Inspectors will get Pay Band-2 salary and Assistant Sub-Inspectors will get Pay Band-1 salary.

(i) Qualification: Aspirants graduated on History/ Statistics/ Law/ Commerce/ English Literature/ Engineering/ Computer Application/ Photography/ Nursing or others can apply for this SSC CAPF 2017. Apart from this, male candidates who are applying against Sub-Inspector posts under Delhi Police should have valid driving licence for motor cycle and car.

(ii) Age Constraints: To apply for the Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector posts, minimum and maximum age limits are same.
- Minimum age limit – 20 years
- Upper age limit – 25 years
The date of birth indicated in 10th/ 12th certificates shall only be taken into consideration. So before applying calculate your age limits as on 1st January 2017.
(iii) Relaxations in Upper Age: For individuals falling under below listed categories, Commission has planned to give relaxations. Also only aspirants who are submitting proper certificates from competent authority (on prescribed format) shall get these concessions.

The Ex-service person, central government/ departmental employees, widows, divorcees, domiciles of J&K who are coming under SC/ ST/ OBC categories will also get general caste based relaxations in addition to the above said concessions.
Selection of aspirants for Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector posts will be determined through following stages.
- Written Examination
- Physical Standards Test
- Physical Endurance Test
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
First a common written examination would have to be attended by applicants who got admission certificates. This test is splitted into two papers. Each paper carries 200 marks questions. Both the papers will be of objective type only. Mostly in offline mode (OMR based) the exam will be organised, on two separate days. Based on SSC’s decision sometimes both the papers might also be changed as Computer based tests.

By seeing written exam marks, a reasonable number of contestants will be shortlisted and invited for Physical standards and endurance tests, medical examination. These tests are conducted just to analyze their ability or fitness to serve in respective positions.

The provisionally selected candidates would be examined by the Medical Officers of any state/ central government hospital, as per standards. Also the original documents would also be verified before appointing those citizens in SI/ ASI roles.
How to Apply for SSC CAPF 2017
Application Fee: To get considered for this SSC CAPF examination, appliers have to remit the application fee before due date. Either through online/ offline mode this fee can be paid.
- Non-refundable fee: Rs.100/-
- For Woman/ SC/ ST/ Ex-SM: No fees
- Payment Mode: SBI Challan or Net Banking/ Credit/ Debit Cards
Applying Process: Through SSC online website, the job applications have to be submitted by interested citizens. Before beginning to register, valid email address, scanned photo & signature, necessary eligibility credentials should be in hands of appliers. In the application, there is also an option for choosing examination centres.

- Click on relevant “Apply Online” link.
- Do the new user registration and enter the basic information.
- Ensure correctness of entered details and press “I Agree”.
- A page with Registration number will be generated.
- Take its printout copy. Here ends the part-I registration.
- Candidates who wish to pay the fee as cash in bank should do the deposition first and proceed with part-II registration.
- Others can directly click the Part-II registration link.
- After opening relevant link, enter the fee payment details and upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
- Take printout of completed application, after submitting it.
