Sikkim TET Exam 2017
Human Resource Development Department (HRDD) has distributed a vacancy notification, in order to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for this current year. This examination has been conducted at least twice a year. To appear in this examination, applicants must accomplish the basic academic qualifications. Candidates who have qualified in STET examination may also be provided with a chance to appear the TET examination. Aspirants who are seriously preparing for the competitive examinations shall utilise this Government job opportunity.

Educational Profile: Candidates who are going to apply for the post of Primary Teacher and Elementary Teacher Post should have secured 50% of marks from any recognised board or institution. In case of SC/ ST candidates, the percentage of marks is reduced to 45%.
- For Primary Teacher Post – 12th with Diploma (Special or Elementary Education)/ B.Ed
- For Elementary Teacher Post – B.A/ B.Sc with B.Ed Degree
Age Limit: The upper age limit of the candidates is considered as per the recruitment rules and the minimum age limit is fixed at 18 years.
Selection Procedure: The recruitment board conducts objective type written examination for candidates who have applied against Primary and Elementary teacher post. The minimum mark fixed by the board is 60% or above to pass the TET examination. Also the candidates must bring the original documents for scrutiny.
- Written Examination: There will be two sets of question papers with an aggregate of 150 marks for Primary Teacher Post and 240 marks for Elementary Teacher post. The questions will be in Multiple Choice Pattern (MCQ)
Salary: Aspirants who are sort out from the TET examination are designated as Primary Teacher and Elementary Teacher. Those candidates are entitled with attractive and impressive salary as per the Sikkim Government rules.
Application Fee: The amount fixed for TET examination may be deposited in any branch of IDBI bank in the Sikkim State. Fee should be drawn in the form of bank draft, in favor of “Joint Director/ Exam, HRDD” in Account number “0108102000006767”.

Applying Procedure for Sikkim TET Exam 2017
The application form for the SLET examination shall be available from the website “www.sikkimhrdd.org”. Interested candidates shall download the application format and fill it in all respects.
The properly filled in application form should reach the office at “The HRDD Secretariat, Human Resource Development Department, Room No.308” on or before the last date mentioned.
