The Department of General and Higher Education is the Government body, which is responsible for conducting public examinations, issuing qualification certificates and many others. Kerala TET 2017
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have completed the below specified education qualification must have passed with atleast 45% of marks in order to download their admit cards. For participating in Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2017, there are no age restrictions.

Recruitment Process: Candidates who were applied for Kerala teaching jobs were selected through the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test 2017. For qualifying in this test, general candidates have to score minimum 60% of marks whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/OEC candidates require 55% of marks. Relaxation is marks are also applicable for PH and visually impaired candidates they need 50% marks alone to get passed in TET.

Exam Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions will be asked for the examination. Among the total 150 questions, 90 marks will be from Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, i.e 30 marks from each topic. Remaining 60 marks will be from the languages of Malayalam/ Tamil/ Kannada and English/Arabic. Based on the category of examination the above specified question format will change.
- Exam will be in the form objective type.
- Total 150 Marks
- Duration of exam is 5 hours.
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- Questions shall be in English and/ or Malayalam.
