Kerala SET 2018 Exam

LBS Centre for Science & Technology (LBCS & T) in Trivandrum is the leading institute for computer training and consultancy. It is actually Government of Kerala undertaken organization. This centre is entrusted with the responsibility of conducting Kerala State Eligibility Test, by government. To ensure the teaching standards of candidates who are willing to take Higher Secondary Course in Kerala Schools, this eligibility exam is being conducted. Without Kerala SET certificate, no one will be appointed as a Higher Secondary School Teachers in state.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for Kerala SET February Exam 2018

Qualification: Candidates who had obtained post graduation certificate from any one of the universities in Kerala or equivalent can participate on Kerala SET Exam 2018.

  • Ed in any discipline and Master Degree on concerned subject

Academic marks: As per Kerala SET Notification 2018, aspirants must have secured following percentage of marks in above said qualification.

  • Minimum: 50% marks
  • Relaxation: 5% for SC/ ST categories

Others: Other eligibilities and ineligibilities to appear on Kerala SET February Exam 2018 are given below.

  • There is no age limit to participate on LBS Kerala SET Exam 2018.
  • Candidates with DLED/ LTTC in Arabic, Urudu and Hindi without B.Ed Degree are also eligible to apply for Kerala SET 2018 February Exam.
  • Ed Degree is not compulsory for candidates applying for Kerala SET 2018 Exam under Anthropology, Commerce, French, Gandhian Studies, Geology, German, Home Science, Journalism, Latin, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics and Syriac subjects.
  • As per Kerala SET 2018 Exam Notification, candidates who had completed their studies through correspondence courses or open universities that are not recognized by any one of the universities in Kerala are not eligible to participate on Kerala SET Exam 2018.
  • Aspirants who are undergoing final year B.Ed course after PG or final year PG course after B.Ed are also eligible to participate on Kerala State Eligibility Test 2018.

Kerala SET Exam 2018 and Pass Marks

SET Exam Kerala 2018 is going to be conducted on 25th February 2018. Atleast 10 days before exam date, LBS Centre will start issuing Kerala SET Hall Ticket 2018 to applied candidates. Aspirants have to download it from LBS Centre official website. The pattern by which questions will be asked on OMR based State Eligibility Test Kerala 2018 is given below.

Kerala SET Exam Pass Mark 2018: Kerala SET Exam minimum qualifying marks differs based on category and papers, as follows.

LBS Centre will calculate the pass percentage of Kerala SET Exam 2018, as follows. There will be no rounding off for Kerala SET 2018 Exam Paper-I/ Paper-II. But, while computing aggregate marks, rounding off will be done upto 2 decimal places.

Pass percentage will be calculated as follows:

{Total Marks secured by candidate in exam/ Maximum marks for Paper-I & II} x 100

Kerala SET Result 2018 and Document Verification: LBS Centre will publish Kerala SET Result 2018 in its official website. Candidates who are deemed qualified in SET exam will be asked to forward their eligibility proving documents by Post to the Director of LBS Centre, for document verification.

Kerala SET Certificate 2018: Certificates signed by the Director of Higher Secondary Education will be issued to the candidates who qualify in SET exam and document verification. If aspirants loss Kerala SET certificate 2018, he/ she can appeal for the duplicate certificate by paying requisite amount of fee to Director of LBS Centre for Science & Technology.

How to Apply for Kerala State Eligibility Test 2018?

Fees: Aspirants have to remit fee for Kerala State Eligibility Test 2018 in advance, to obtain the site access key and application number for online registration.

Kerala Residents: Fee for the test can be remitted in any selected office or branch of a service provider, directly. To know about the list of head post offices, visit LBS Centre’s official website. The site access key and application number for Kerala residents will not be sent through Post.

Others: Candidates residing out of Kerala can remit fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn on favour of “Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology”. The draft should be drawn from any nationalized banks in India and it should be payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

Along with DD, send a self addressed envelope of size 31 x 25 cm to the “Office of Director, LBS Centre” before last date, by requesting authorities to send the site access key and application number of registration by Post.

After receiving site access key and application number, aspirants can fill the application for Kerala SET Exam 2018 through official website of LBS Centre. The Kerala SET 2018 Apply Online guidelines are given below.

  • Log on to the site www.lbscentre.org (or) www.lbskerala.com
  • Click State Eligibility Test – Feb-2018 Test on 25/02/2018 link
  • Read Kerala SET Notification 2018 and detailed prospectus for February exam
  • Click “Online Registration” link available in the page
  • Enter the application number and site access key in appropriate boxes and click “Login” button
  • Next step is uploading photograph
  • After uploading photo, the Kerala SET Application 2018 will display
  • Fill the application without mistakes and recheck it
  • Click “Submit” button and then take printout copy of submitted application with registration id using “Print” button

Printout copy of online application should be signed by candidate and forwarded through Registered Post to the “Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology, Extra Police Road, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 033”. Aspirants can also directly submit hardcopy of application at the LBS Centre Headquarters, in Person.
