Karnataka TET Syllabus 2017: The Centralized Admission Cell (CAC) of Karnataka School Education Department is going to conduct this year’s Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) very soon. TET exam has two papers. Candidates those who want to join as a Teacher for the classes from 1st to 5th standard can write the Paper-I TET exam and individuals desiring to take classes for 6th to 8th standard can write the Paper-II TET exam. Candidates should score atleast 60% marks in exam, to receive the KARTET eligibility certificate. Karnataka TET Syllabus 2017

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is an Indian Entrance examination for Teacher profession. Both Central and State Governments conducts this test. Government of Karnataka has given the responsibility to CAC, to conduct KARTET exam. Because as per guidelines of NCTE, KARTET eligibility certificate is minimum requirement for the teachers to teach in CAC affiliated schools (Government/ Private/ Aided or Unaided School) of Karnataka.

Inorder to improve the standards in teaching, Indian Government introduced this TET exam. So, questions of KARTET exam will be asked to test the aptitude skills, teaching challenge and subject knowledge of aspirants at primary/ upper primary levels.

KARTET Exam Pattern 2017

  • Karnataka TET exam will be conducted in OMR
  • About 150 objective type questions will be asked for KARTET exam.
  • Each question carries 1 mark. No marks will be deducted if candidates mark any wrong answer.
  • Maximum time that will be given to aspirants to finish the exam is 2 ½ hours.

The Language-I & II questions will be Kannada/ English/ Urdu/ Tamil/ Telugu/ Marathi/ Hindi/ Sanskrit. But individuals should not attend Language-I & II in same language.

Karnataka TET Exam Syllabus 2017

Candidates have to take atleast 60% marks to get the KARTET certificate from government. But SC/ ST/ C-I/ PWD candidates have to take a minimum of 55% marks. The Paper-II KARTET exam will be in a standard of syllabus prescribed by NCERT or state for 6th to 8th standard. Difficulty level of this exam will be upto Senior Secondary Stage. The Karnataka TET Exam Paper-II Syllabus is given below.

Karnataka TET Exam 2017

After receiving KARTET certificate aspirants can seek for Teacher jobs in reputed educational institutions within state. Karnataka government also announces Teacher recruitment for candidates who are possessing KARTET certificate. The validity period of KARTET certificate is 7 years.
