IES 2019 (UPSC ESE 2018)

Each year, Civil service and other examinations will be organised by UPSC for enrolling talented staffs below various government departments. Similarly, this year also, the commission has planned to conduct an open competitive examination for engaging suitable aspirants below various Group A and B designations.
The IES 2019 shall be conducted through three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and personal Interview. Candidates who are qualifying in these processes will have to undergo medical examination before finalising their appointments.

UPSC Engineering Services Exam Eligibility Criteria 2019

IES Selection Methodology 2019

Lots of selection process is involved in UPSC examination. There are two stages in UPSC IES Exam i.e. Prelims and Mains. Those who are performing well in both the exams only will be considered for Personal interview and medical verification.

UPSC IES Exam Pattern 2019

Indian Engineering Service 2019 exam comprises of two sections. The first section comprises of objective type question and the second paper may contain descriptive questions.

Preliminary Exam:– This exam consists of 3 parts were each part carries 200 marks. And also each section will be conducted for duration of 2 hours time. Those who are qualifying in this test are required to appear for the section two exam.

  • General Ability Test – 200 marks
  • Civil Engineering Paper-I – 200 marks
  • Civil Engineering Paper-II – 200 marks

Main Exam: – This exam comprises of descriptive type questions, which will be asked from their respective subject. There are two papers below this section. Each paper comprises of 200 marks for a total duration of 6 hours (3hours for each paper).

  • Civil Engineering Paper-II – 200 marks

Personality Test:– Those who are qualifying in the above tests will be asked to appear for the personality Test. Based on overall performance, the final merit list will be executed.

  • Click on the “Recruitment-> Online Recruitment Application” option on the home page.
  • On the new page, click on the “New Registration” button, if you have not applied for any exams in UPSC.
  • A registration form will appear with various columns on the next page.
  • Fill the form with Basic details and give “Save & Continue”
