Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is a constitutional recruitment agency which conducts Exams for Civil Service, Engineering Service, Medical service, Defence Service, etc. In order to fill the vacancies which was lying below Junior Time Scale posts, UPSC came out with this recruitment.
An Indian Economics Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exam will be conducted for choosing the right officer for that position. Candidates have to score more than 300 marks in the written examination for getting into viva voice test. Comparing to the last time, this year the competition can be little bit higher.

UPSC IES ISS Exam Pattern 2017
The question paper of UPSC IES/ IEE exam will comprise of objective type and descriptive questions. Candidates have to use black ball point pen for writing as well as marking their answers on the OMR sheet. Individuals are asked to make sure of their answers because negative marks will be awarded for wrong answers.
Answers which are marked with pencil will not be calculated. It is mandatory to clear this examination only then he or she will be allowed to appear for the viva voice test.
