IBPS Syllabus 2017 for PO, Clerk, RRB & SO Prelims and Mains Exams

IBPS Syllabus 2017: Every year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for filling the Clerical and Managerial level posts in various Public sector and Regional Rural banks of the country. As this is happening routinely from 2011 onwards, lot of young graduates had diverted their attention towards IBPS exams for securing bank jobs. Even before announcement of exam dates of the year, aspirants will start to prepare for these tests seriously. As the pattern for banking exams has been recently changed by IBPS, some of them will be confused about what to study for these exams. IBPS Syllabus 2017

Depending upon category of exam (PO/ SO/ RRB/ Clerk), the exam topics will differ. For each section, IBPS will fix a separate qualifying cut-offs by seeing the available number of vacancies and number of participants in test. Aspirants failing to meet the cut-offs set by institute will be announced as disqualified. So try to concentrate more on all topics equally.

IBPS Exam 2017

No descriptive questions will be asked for these Common Written Examinations (CWE) and also questions will be in objective type. Candidates who are getting admit cards from IBPS have to write PO/ Clerk/ RRB/ SO exams in online mode (i.e. Computer based), on allotted venues. The mark details of each exam are given below.

IBPS Specialist Officer Exam 2017:

Specialist Officer exam is to fulfill the IT Officer, Agri. Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer HR and Marketing Officer posts in banks. Only based on exam scores, candidates will be further called for final round of selection which is interview. IBPS SO is a single tier examination that will be conducted for 80 marks. It consists of 200 questions from reasoning, English, General knowledge and Professional knowledge. Aspirants have to attend the questions under all these topics, but marks will be given for professional knowledge section only.

IBPS RRB Exam 2017:

Through RRB Exam the Scale-I, II & III Officer and Office Assistant posts will be filled in banks. For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I posts there are two levels of test which are preliminary (80 marks) and mains (200 marks). But for Officer Scale-II & III posts only single tier examination (200/ 240 marks) will be conducted. Aspirants qualifying prelims test with good marks shall only be allowed to write main exam.

IBPS PO and Clerk Exams 2017:

IBPS PO and Clerk exams will be conducted on different dates, but the exam pattern and marks of both the exams are same. For PO and Clerk, there are two tiers of exam. First the prelims exam will be conducted for 100 marks and those who score high in this test will be next called for the main examination which carries 200 marks.
