IBPS PO Syllabus 2017

Through this IBPS exam, participants securing high cut-off marks shall get a chance to work as Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee in reputed banks across country. Nearly 20 banks are participating under this recruitment. Competition will be very tough, because numerous youngsters will write this exam. Having good aptitude, reasoning, etc. skills will help contestants to secure high marks.

Two tiers of exam and interview are the modes of selection behind this PO/ MT posts. The IBPS PO Syllabus 2017 details are given on below paragraphs. Those who are securing good marks in first round of exam (i.e. tier-1) shall only get a chance to appear in second phase. The participating organizations (banks) will conduct interview with nodal banks of concerned state/ Union Territory, for contestants scoring good marks in tier-2 exam.

The Common Written Examination (CWE) for IBPS PO/ MT posts is of two tiers i.e. preliminary and main examination. Both the exams will be conducted in online mode only. Except language part, medium of exam will be in English & Hindi. Till last year, IBPS has asked only objective type questions. But from this year onwards, in the main examination there will be both objective and descriptive questions.

The preliminary exam for IBPS PO 2017 will be conducted for 100 marks by asking questions from three varied topics. One hour is the maximum time that will be given to candidates. Within this time span, aspirants have to find answers for 100 questions.

Depending upon tests, the exam duration differs i.e. 3 hours will be given for objective test and 30 minutes for descriptive test. This is the maximum time that is allotted for main exam. But for disabled persons who are using scribe, compensatory time will be given.

Don’t fail to study the topics that we have given above. Depending upon number of questions you are attending correct, your marks will increase. But you should be very careful while marking answers for objective type questions, because penalties are applicable for ticking incorrect answers (0.25 for each question). For calculating marks, scores upto two decimal points shall be taken into account.
