IBPS PO Syllabus 2017

Through this IBPS exam, participants securing high cut-off marks shall get a chance to work as Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee in reputed banks across country. Nearly 20 banks are participating under this recruitment. Competition will be very tough, because numerous youngsters will write this exam. Having good aptitude, reasoning, etc. skills will help contestants to secure high marks.

Two levels of exam and interview are the modes of selection behind this PO/ MT posts, which will be conducted in different centres & states. The IBPS PO Syllabus 2017 details are given on below paragraphs. Those who are securing good marks in first round of exam shall only get a chance to appear in second phase. The participating organizations (banks) will conduct interview with nodal banks of concerned state/ Union Territory, for contestants scoring good marks in tier-2 exam.

Main Topics for IBPS PO Exam 2017: IBPS exam of PO/ MT posts has two tiers/ stages. First is the Preliminary and the next is Main examination. IBPS PO Prelims Syllabus

The preliminary exam for IBPS PO 2017 will be conducted for 100 marks by asking questions from three varied topics. One hour is the maximum time that will be given to candidates. IBPS PO Mains Syllabus

From five various sections, questions will be drafted for this main exam. The exam topics of IBPS prelims and mains will be somewhat same, but the number of questions that would be asked will differ.

The main exam of IBPS Probationary Officer posts is planned to be conducted for 140 minutes i.e. 2 hours 20 minutes. This is the maximum time that is allotted for main exam. Within this duration, participants should have the ability to attend 200 questions. For IBPS PO Main exam, questions will be mostly asked from following sub-topics only.

Depending upon the number of questions you are attending correct your marks will increase, because for each right answer you will get 1 mark. But you should be very careful while marking answers, because penalties are applicable for ticking incorrect answers (0.25 for each question). For calculating marks, scores upto two decimal points shall be taken into account.
