 IBPS PO Exam Analysis 2017: Every years Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts examination for the selection of eligible candidates for various posts. IBPS PO Exam Analysis 2017

As there are plenty of job opportunities available under banking sectors, now-a-days most of the graduated youngsters prefer to make their career towards banking field. Candidates have to participate in the following three phases of recruitment processes in order to get placed under post of Probationary Officer.

  • Main Exam
  • Interview

IBPS PO Prelims Analysis

IBPS PO Prelims Exam usually comprises of three topics which are from Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. For the previous year under Reasoning Ability, no questions were asked form coding and decoding section. Questions from syllogism were of easy to moderate. Two puzzles questions were asked from floor and comparison based. Set of DI questions like Line graph and table were asked under Aptitude topic in the first slot. English Language was of moderate to difficult as there was no synonym, antonyms and fill in the blanks.

  • 1 hour duration will be given for Prelims exam.

IBPS PO Mains Analysis

There were five sections in previous year IBPS PO Mains Exam as given in the below table. In which DI type questions like pie chart, line chart, etc was of moderate to difficult level in Aptitude. Sentence filters and two reading comprehension were included in English Language. Under reasoning, syllogism question were of the form conclusion as question and statements as options. General awareness and computer knowledge is quite easy in this questions were asked from capsule and history & generations of computer respectively.

  • Totally 140 mins will be given to complete the mains exam.
  • Maximum marks for examination is 200.
  • Participants have to secure the minimum qualifying marks of 73 -78.

IBPS PO Interview Pattern 2017

Candidates who have successfully completed the Prelims exam will be allowed to appear for the next phases of recruitment processes like Main exam and Interview separately. Wait age to main exam and interview will be calculated in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.

Individuals after the successful completion of interview they will be appointed under the post of Probationary Officer as per their interview performances and reservation allotments.

IBPS PO Written Exam Selection Cutoffs:

Candidates should have obtained the minimum cutoff marks assigned to qualify in written examinations in order to move on to the next level of selection processes. Based on the category of candidates there will be variations in the minimum qualification marks. Candidates belonging to general category must have obtained the cutoff marks given below separately for qualifying in Prelims and Main exam.
