IBPS Clerk Salary 2017 Details
In IBPS Clerk Common Recruitment Process (CRP) 2017, about 19 banks are going to participate. Details of participating banks are given in below table.

As a first stage of selection, first preliminary exam will be conducted by IBPS. Then those who are performing well in prelims exam (with good cut-offs) shall be invited for the final round of selection i.e. main exam. After completion of this Common Written Exam (prelims & mains), IBPS will issue score cards to qualified aspirants.
Then provisional allotment will be done on banks that are participating in this recruitment, based IBPS Clerk Score Card 2017. Nearly 20000 Clerical vacancies in 19 banks are going to be filled through this upcoming IBPS exam.
All those banks will not follow same policy and rules. Depending upon banks, it will vary. Likewise the salary package of candidates also differs.
Duties of Clerk: On appointment to the respective banks, first training will be imparted to the candidates for a particular time period to mould them for doing following works.
- Handling deposit & withdrawal cash
- Payment Clearance
- Delivering cheque books
- Daily record of balance
- Receipt collection
- Data Entry, etc.
Some banks will place the candidates under probation also, for particular duration. A clerical staff in a bank will work as front office person and has direct interaction with public. They have to work on Computer by entering the day-to-day transaction details in system.
IBPS Clerk Salary Package:
Those who are successfully finishing training will be allowed to work as a Clerk in respective branches or administrative cadres of banks.
During training period also, candidates will be offered with salary per month. The salary offered during training is less than the salary offered by banks after training. Details are tabulated below.

It should be remembered that, we have just mentioned the general salary applicable for a Clerk in banks on above table. As said earlier, the salary package of Clerk differs based on participating organization.
Some months before, a settlement reached between Union and Indian Bank’s Association to increase the salary & allowances of bank employees to 15%. Most probably the rule will be implemented from November onwards or before that. If happened so, the new in-hand salary of Clerks in government/ public sector banks will be as follows.

Some special allowances will be given to Clerks, apart from the basic pay. Depending upon place of posting (metro cities/ rural/ semi-urban, etc), the allowances provided by bank also differs. Usual allowances applicable for a Clerk in any nationalized banks are tabulated below.
