CTET Previous Year Paper 2018: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a governmental board of education is going to conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on forthcoming September/ November months. Already the official announcement for this test has been scattered widely and lot of Indian citizens had registered too. But taking atleast minimum qualifying mark of 60% in this CTET 2018 examination is very difficult. Because by analyzing the previous exam results of CTET only 1 to 14% of them had been qualified. CTET Previous Year Paper 2018

CBSE will set question papers on two languages i.e. Hindi and English. In the online application itself aspirants might have chosen the medium of question paper. According to that only, aspirants shall be offered with question papers in exam hall. This will help contestants to write the exam easily, without any complexity of understanding questions.

In previous year, for CTET exams CBSE has issued separate question papers for visually impaired persons. So this year also, board follows the same. Even if you are preparing using syllabus and exam pattern, you will not get an idea about how the question will be or in what all manner a question will be asked. For this you have to study using previous and model question papers of CTET.

Question Pattern for CTET 2018 Exam: In CTET, there are two papers. The standard of questions will be in Secondary/ Senior Secondary level. The number of questions and sections from which questions will come for CTET 2018 are clearly stated here in the below table.

  • Only objective questions will be asked
  • Exam is purely going to be conducted offline
  • No penalties are applicable for shading incorrect answers in OMR sheets
  • But for each correct answer 1 mark will be provided
  • If you shade two answers for a particular question, no marks will be given

Syllabus of CTET 2018:

As prescribed by National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT) for classes 1st to 5th standard, questions shall come for Paper-I CTET exam and 6th to 8th standard for Paper-II CTET exam.

In first paper, equal number of questions will be asked from 5 different sections. But on second paper, except one section for all other three sections equal number of questions shall be asked.

Questions for Child Development & Pedagogy section would be drafted by focusing on areas like understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and attributes & qualities of a good facilitator of learning i.e. educational psychology of teaching and learning.

Language sections are included to find the proficiency of candidates in medium of instruction, communication and comprehension abilities, etc. Subject related questions may be asked for other sections i.e. concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding.

Depending upon the number of questions you are answering correctly, you will get mark. Try to attend all the questions because, even if you mark wrong answer no mark will be deducted for that. May be due to your luck the answer you are marking for unknown questions will be correct.

But ability to manage time in exam hall is very essential. Because the number of questions that will be asked is 150, time is 150 minutes and mark is also 150. So there is only 1 minute time for each question. Otherwise leave the unknown questions and write answers for known questions. Later if you have time, try to find answers for unknown questions.

CTET Exam 2018

The official advertisement for CTET 2018 was released on June/ July 2018. Diploma and Degree holders are the persons who are asked to apply for this exam. As said above, there are two papers of CTET. Individuals clearing Paper-I can serve as a Primary Teacher and Paper-II is for Secondary Teacher posts. There is no available number of seats at present. But soon government will release employment notices for hiring candidates who scored high marks in this CTET 2018.
