TN DME Medical Selection 2017: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education has decided to fulfill the seats of Post Graduation Degree/ Diploma courses in medical Colleges and institutions across state, for the academic year 2017-18. With desire to study the PG level medical course, MBBS/ BDS qualified candidates who had attended the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 conducted by National Board of Examinations are eligible ones to participate in this admission process. TN DME Medical Selection 2017

As per Indian Medical Council Act, the NEET is an entrance examination for getting easier admissions to various MD/ MS and PG Diploma courses. Now minimum 50% marks secured candidates of NEET Exam-2017 is given an opportunity by Directorate of Medical Education- Tamil Nadu, for studying PG courses in some of the deemed universities, self financing, government medical/ dental Colleges. Only limited time is there to apply for this admission process. A merit list will be prepared and published in website for candidates who had submitted applications, on the basis of NEET score.

On merit basis then applicants will be called for counseling process. The list of Colleges in which management/ government quota seats are existing will be kept under view of participants. Depending upon candidate’s wish and as per concerned Colleges norms, admission would be done. From May 2017 onwards the courses will be started. But the entire admission process ends only on 31st May 2017.

Essential Qualification: Candidates who are seeking for post graduate studies admission must have finished the following UG level medical qualification and should have completed CRRI period in Tamil Nadu state before 31st March 2017. Also they should have passed the NEET PG examination for the year 2017.

  • For PG Degree/ Diploma courses: MBBS pass
  • For MDS course: BDS pass

Selection Procedure: The applications submitted by interested citizens will be reviewed by concerned authorities and will rank the candidates based on their NEET score. Then on batch wise, group of those applied aspirants will be invited for the Counseling process.

Depending upon the vacancies available in particular Colleges, candidates will be asked to choose any one medical institution. Thus admission for PG courses would be done.

Application Fee: The application fee for this TN Medical Selection should be remitted in the form of bank draft drawn on favour of “Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10” payable at Chennai, from any Nationalized Bank.

Candidates who are invited for counselling should also have to pay the processing fee, depending upon courses/ colleges.

How to Apply for TN DME Medical Selection 2017

Individuals who are willing to do the Post graduate courses in any of the above listed category of Colleges can submit their applications through online mode, to get considered for the Counselling procedure. The steps to apply online are,

  • Visit the websites tnhealth.org or www.tnmedicalselection.org.
  • Click the “Online Services” tab and choose the relevant admission category.
  • Hit the “New User Registration” tab and enter the requisite basic details.
  • Using the Id and password sent to your email address, login.
  • Hit the “New Application” option.
  • Start filling all mandatory fields in each section of application by clicking “Save & Proceed”.
  • Upload the soft copy of photograph & signature.
  • Before final submission, enter the demand draft details also (as applicable).
  • Check the status of application whether it is indicated as “Submitted”.
  • Then press “Download Application” and take the printout copy.

The bank draft, hardcopy of submitted application and other documents copies (listed below) should reach “The Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, Periyar E.V.R. High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010” before 5.00 PM of last date.
