TANCET Result 2017: Aspirants who have participated in the TANCET exam which took place on 25th and 26th March 2017 will be eagerly expecting your results. After a three weeks gap, Anna University has final released the TANCET Result 2017 over their official website. Students who are presently perusing their final year graduation course were allowed to apply through online from 29th January 2017 to 20th February 2017. Aspirants who are scoring more marks in this exam can choose the top ranking colleges during the counselling. This time many students have scored good marks comparing to the last time. TANCET Result 2017

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an examination which is conducted by Anna University Management for selecting aspirants for PG counseling. This counseling is conducted especially for PG Programmes such as MBA/ MCA/ ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan degree below various streams.

Depending upon the marks obtained by the individuals in this exam, a merit list would be prepared in descending. They will be called for counseling in that order only. Most of the colleges in Tamil Nadu will reserve some PG seats for Government Quota students. Aspirants who are getting admission through counseling will fill those seats.

Most probably, the counseling will start from the month of July/ August 2017. So, the university has released the TANCET Result 2017 through their official portal. There were 100 questions for MBA and MCA courses and 115 questions for the remaining courses. However, the marks were calculated for 100 only. The cut-off mark obtained by you will be available in the result. You can download mark list for counseling after ten days from the release of results.

TANCET Exam Notification: The exam notification for TANCET was released on the month of January 2017. Many young final year graduate students applied in response to this notification. This examination is conducted every year for placing graduates below various governments and self financed colleges on government quota.

Section Wise Marks and Results: The question booklet comprised of questions from quantitative aptitude, Reasoning and Computer Awareness, English, Engineering Maths and questions from relevant subjects.  There were totally 100 questions for MCA and MBA course and 115 questions for other PG courses.

Negative mark of 0.33 was deducted for each and every wrong answer. Four options were given for each question. The exam was conducted through OMR sheets. If multiple answers were shaded for single question, then negative marks would be given for that question.

TANCET Exam Process 2017

Final Year Graduates who applied for this exam through online till 20th February 2017. Two weeks before the scheduled exam date, the authority released the hall ticket for this exam. Finally, the result has also published on the official site today. Based upon the marks obtained by the individuals a merit list will be drawn out for counseling.

Previous Cut-off Marks: Last time, the expected cut-off mark for MBA course is around 35.5 marks for getting placed in Anna University. So this year, the mark will be more comparing to the last year. Same way, for the other post also the cut-off marks would be really high.

How to Check TANCET Result 2017

Candidates who appeared for the TANCET examination can check their results from now onwards by the visiting the official portal of Anna University. You will need login information for obtaining the results for this exam. The User ID and Password which you obtained during the online registration can be used as login data while viewing the TANCET Result 2017.

At first, aspirants should log on to the official portal of Anna University and look for the Result link in that page. Click on that link and you will be directed to a login window. The login window will have two fields. One field is allotted for user ID and another one for entering the password. Now, you have to click on the login button. Your result will appear on a new page. Note it down for future reference.
