NATA 2017: Council of Architecture (COA) set up by Indian Government is going to conduct one National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) on April 2017. COA started executing this exam from 2006 onwards. Citizens who are having idea of stepping into Architecture course after their Schooling are asked to write this examination. Succeeding candidates in this test, can seek for admission in any architectural institutions all over the country using NATA-2017 marks. Any age person will be allowed to write this exam but it is notable that, NATA-2017 marks remain valid only for the academic year 2017-18. Elaborated details are given on below paragraphs.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), from the name itself we are able to know this is a nationwide exam. NATA exam marks helps to determine the suitability of candidates to study respective 5 years Architecture course in India. Exam will be conducted in selected cities of the country. Exact venue allotments will be clearly indicated in the Admit cards that will be issued before test, through official website. NATA 2017 is a one day paper based examination that will contain questions from maths, aptitude and perspective drawing etc. Incase of tie marks in this test, COA will fix ranks based on age seniority/ section wise marks in exam. Rank list/ Results of this NATA-2017 examination will be published officially in second week of June 2017.

Essential Qualification: Appliers must have finished their 12th qualification in 10+2 pattern or Diploma with Mathematics as one of the subject upto School level. From any government approved School/ Board candidates might have studied this education and also have secured 50% marks.

Age Limit: There is no age bar to participate in this examination. But to get admission for B.Arch course using NATA-2017 marks, candidates must comply with the age constraints that are specified by Admission/ Counselling authorities.

Exam Process: In this NATA exam, Council will ask 20 questions from Mathematics, 40 questions from General Aptitude and 2 questions from Drawing topics. Objective type questions shall be drafted for Maths & General Aptitude sections and candidates have to draw/ sketch for the Drawing questions.
Authorities will give two marks for each objective type question and 40 marks for each drawing question, if answer is found correct. The overall qualifying marks will be set by the Council only (must score atleast 25% marks in MCQ and Drawing portions).

Application Fee: Individuals who are applying to write NATA-2017 examination have to remit the application fee also. Through EPG payment services link available in NATA website aspirants can remit the fee using Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking facilities.
If appliers are willing to pay fee through offline mode, then they can download the ICICI bank e-challan form that is given in NATA website and remit the fee in any nearest core banking service facility enabled bank.

How to Apply for NATA 2017
Only online applications have to be submitted through NATA website, for this exam. No hardcopies have to be sent. Here we have given the basic guidelines for opening and submitting NATA-2017 application.
- First open the portal nata.nic.in.
- Hit the “Online Application NATA-2017” link.
- Fill all the star marked fields and upload your passport size photograph, left thumb impression, signature in jpg/ jpeg format.
- Preview the details and hit “Submit” button.
- Also do the fee transaction using payment gateway given in website.
- Finally take printout of the Confirmation page.
Candidates remitting fee through offline mode have to take printout of challan form. After remitting fee through bank, then aspirants have to re-login into the system and upload the journal number, branch name and date, etc. details of payment. Only after that, offline payment doing aspirants will get the confirmation page of application.
